Description:
The HS1100 was YAMAHA’s top of the line Hi-Hat Stand before it was replaced by the HS1200 line. Despite most of YAMAHA’s hardware being made in Indonesia at the time, this was one of the few stands still made in Japan.
Condition:
The Stand is in fair working condition but there is some damage. The bottom of the middle post will detach from the bottom section when pulled on. The screw securing it seems to have dented the post enough that it is no longer secured. I’m guessing that by fixing the dent, you could fix the issue with it detaching. In any case, the stand still functions as is, but you just need to be careful to not life it from the middle and top sections, only the bottom section.
The bottom of the middle post section that detaches from the bottom reveals the internal pull rod that is usually not accessible. That large internal rod is caked with grease.
There are a lot of noticeable cosmetic flaws in addition to the damaged section. There are a two areas that have tape on them that is worn, under the seat for the hi-hat and on the back of the mechanism that attaches the pedal to the internal pull rod. There are also scratches and dust buildup throughout many parts of the stand. I have described the wear to each of the individual sections more below:
The pedal footboard has some wear and appears to be slightly crooked where it attaches to the mechanism that attaches the pedal to the internal pull rod.
The threads of the Allen screw at the top of the leg section are heavily rusted, but it should still be able to be removed.
The plastic piece that connects the middle and top posts has some noticeable wear and scratches. The memory lock that originally went on top of it is missing and is not included. There is also no drum key included with this.
The top rod that goes through the Hi-Hat is noticeably bent. This stand does not include any Hi-Hat Clutch.
The YAMAHA label is scratched and torn in a few spots and the small HS1100 sticker is missing.
However, despite all of the issues described above, this Hi-Hat stand is still functional and a great Hi-Hat stand. The mechanism for adjusting the tension works fine, the section that lowers and raises the pedal still works, and the spike tips inside of the feet both work as well. With some work, a good cleaning, and a way to fix the damaged section, this would be a great stand to use regularly that is still one of the best Hi-Hat Stands YAMAHA ever made.

I am now offering FREE SHIPPING on all small parts that can be shipped with flat-rate postage. I have been having far too many issues lately with international buyers entering their addresses incorrectly.
