The lid is missing but the unit works, with a very smooth movement of the indicating needle. The unit was deactivated from MIT and has a calibration sticker dated 1948. One knob is missing and the bakelite face has a crack and a small piece missing, shown in a close-up picture. The leather strap is worn but whole. A vintage item that you can still use for its intended purpose.
