Rare vintage retro style Montgomery Ward floor standing oil burning stove. Metal construction. The MW emblem is nicely displayed on the front screen vent, top is vented as well. Oil reservoir appears clean. All doors and knobs operate as they should. Side door has an inspection window to see flames during operation. See last photo for oil control valve specifications. Fuel gauge located on back side.
Metal tag on back indicates this is a Montgomery Ward Oil Heater with a patent number "2452924-2452925". The model number is "LN5944A". The max oil flow is "36 C.C. per minute" with a "B.T.U. capacity of 60,500". "Use oil not heavier than number 1". Inspected by Underwriters Laboratory Inc. "55x H722245" may be the serial number. Normal age related wear on exterior. Retrieved from dry storage.
