Stoney Mountains Classic Castings Weathering and Aging Kits have been designed by our notable staff in the research and development department. Our finely ground aging materials are to be used for distressing, weathering, or aging any new or old product. This weathering kit works on most materials and even painted surfaces, we recommend first spraying with a dull coat.
Our
weathering material is easily applied with a dry stiff brush, used sparingly.

Stoney Mountain Classic Castings has researched and finally developed our Pre-Weathering Clear Adhesion Solution that works on plastic, wood, resin, plaster, etc. This product has been designed exclusively to enhance the adhesion of Stoney Mountains Weathering Pigments. Over the years Stoney Mountain Classic Castings has weathered plastic and metal train cars and have had problems with adhesion on some unpainted glossy surfaces. This new product makes weathering and aging so much easier, and with a long working time, (up to several hours). The Pre Weathering Solution makes the surface tacky. This is a clear water based solution that can be brushed or airbrushed on to your project. Allow to dry for approximately 5 minutes before starting to apply our weathering pigments. Clean up is easy with soap and water. Models that will be handled considerably, we recommend spraying with a Testors Clear Dullcote.
