Description
40 plus years of selective breeding has gone into herd development. We are a small operation. However, the breeding strategy for temperament, maternal, calving ease, yield, and grade has proven results. In 2005, 50 head of steers from our operation were fed out and entered the Red Angus feeder cattle program. They tied for top grid price against all Red Angus that year.Since that time, we have not actively sought out other performance competitions but have refined the herd with high end Red Angus genetics. We are offering 19 open replacement heifers sired by Mushrush Apollo through artificial insemination. This bull was chosen for easy fleshing, calving ease, and emphasis on udder. The heifers are over 95% Red Angus with the remaining influence coming from Charolais.
Their average weight on 1/18/21 was 670 lbs. Their feeding program will put them between 700lbs and 725 lbs in one month. They were pelvic measured, calfhood vaccinated, bovi-shield gold FP 5 VLS HB vaccinated, and covexin 8 vaccinated.
They would make a good starter herd or great addition to an established program. Contact listed below.
