For auction is a Rawhide Mallet -- Garland Mfg. Co. Size No. 4, Item No. 11004, 2" Face Diam., 3-1/2" Long Head, 11 oz. Total Weight, Made in Saco, Maine USA.  The paper label is no longer legible but I know for a fact that this mallet is a Garland.  According to the manufacturer's website -- "Garland's all-rawhide mallets are made of tough, long-wearing water buffalo rawhide".
This lightly used rawhide mallet is in good, fully functional condition.  The edges are rolled over a small amount but the center of both striking surfaces show little wear.  The wooden handle has some finish wear and a previous owner lightly etched the initial W into the wood -- easily sanded out if you desire.
Most of the items I sell are from estate sales, auctions, flea markets, etc.
I clean them as necessary to properly evaluate the condition and allow you to judge the actual item rather than a previous owner’s dirt.
I want to know if the typical dirt and grime and/or harmless surface rust is covering any damage.
My photos will always be the actual item for sale and I try to describe and show the condition as thoroughly as possible.
