Description
This auction is for one hand forged tomahawk. It's made from an Allen (U.S.A.) 1-1/16" wrench. This one is number 459. It's head measures 5-9/16" long (including spike). It has a cutting edge that is 2-3/16". It's about 13-1/4" long and weighs 15 oz. I throw every one of these that I make and this one is no exception, so it has been pre-abused for your safety and convenience. The alloys used for wrenches seem to be very well suited for what I do to them. That is to say, wrenches make very good throwing axes. I try to use U.S. made wrenches whenever I can and its just about flea market and auction time, which is how I prefer to acquire wrenches (Trades for work are better) but I sometimes resort to buying imports on ebay and it can be hard to find reasonably priced wrenches of good quality so I take what I can get. I still avoid anything made in India, and always will. Likewise Pakistan, and I implore you to do the same. It seems impossible to avoid China, especially since that is where Craftsman wrenches are made now. I try to not use the worst from China, but it can be hard to judge sometimes. Anyhow, I am offering this wrenchawk, #459, with no reserve, buyer pays shipping. Thanks!
