The controls for your stove operate under very harsh conditions: exposure to extreme heat, vibration and power surges with high ampere draw.
Vacuum- and safety switches become less reliable as time passes and
begin to operate erratically, causing mysterious shut-downs of a pellet stove. I
t is a good practice to
replace those "little trouble-makers"
on your stove, even if it does not always solve the main issue.
This limit switch is mounted on the exhaust blower housing and has two different functions:
1.         Should the fire go out, this limit switch will shut the stove off when the exhaust temperature drops below 120° F.
2.         At start up - the control board has a 15-minute “Lighting Mode”, if the stove exhaust does not reach 120° F in that time, the stove will shut down.
This igniter limit switch fits all pellet stoves made by Dansons post-2005.
