Two weeks before Elvis was to leave for he Army, his mother invited his friends over to Graceland for a farewell party.  Making sure there was plenty for everyody to eat, she prepared Elvis's favorite pork chips with mashed pottoes and gravy.  For dessert everyone enjoyed her homemade apple pie.
