-  Air filters help filter dirt before distributing hot air in your installation in addition to protecting the blower. The use of filters is strongly recommended.
- The fresh air return adapter can be added to the blower box to increase the efficiency of your system. This option allows you to take fresh air from the rooms and bring it to the furnace to be heated and redistributed in these same rooms. It allows more even air circulation to increase comfort.

Gentlemen, now that we have properly cold weather, I can tell you that the Heat Commander is absolutely genius.
We are getting 12 hour burns, using all of the heat from the coal bed, and keeping the house in the low 70s without big temperature swings. Since 9 am this morning when I lit the fire, I've only opened it once to rake the coals over the ash grill.
12 hours of even heat on a bitterly cold, windy day and I only touched the furnace once . . . For people who heat with wood, this is genuinely life changing!
Our old furnace was purchased from a chain store (our first mistake) and did not make three seasons; the inner workings melted, cracked, or broke. It was supposed to be a high efficient EPA stove that self regulated draft and was thermostatically controlled. It was a complete failure.
I have been completely blown away by the quality of the Heat Commander overall, how sturdy and well built it is, not to mention how extremely efficient, quiet, high tech but easy to understand. This stove requires less wood and less feed time, can heat the whole house on a good bed of coals and temperature regulates amazingly well. Additionally, the customer service has gone above and beyond. They were so helpful with the initial set up and installation and even reached out to me a few days ago to let me know there was a software update. This stove and customer support from SBI was worth every penny and has not only given my family and I a sense of peace but an easily heated home.
