Vintage Set of 4 Tea Cups
Made in Japan
Cobalt Blue and White Glazed Porcelain
6 Different Medallion Circle designs depicting various Scenes of People Bridges Mountain Villages, Trees.
There are 6 Wavy Wallpaper  designs in background using various florals, criss crossed lines, basket weaves or geometrical patterns.
3 are solid blue waves with small flower pattern alternating in between 3 different lighter patterns of the diamond lines, basket weave and geometrical patterns.
Cups measure approximately a little over 3 1/8"  tall by 2 1/2" wide.
This is Handcrafted set so no 2 pieces will look exactly alike and will have various glaze or manufacturers imperfections or variations..
Porcelain glaze is thicker in some areas but smooth overall.
I see 1 small glazed over porcelain crack to foot that looks to have been made during manufacturing process when the slip was poured..
It is small type and is glazed over to sides of foot, and is on the bottom foot type area, it is not dectractive type and does not run up the cup...glaze smooths over it in that area.
1 cup still has its Made in Japan paper label to it which also helps date these to around the 1960s.
