  • Condition: This plate is in great condition for its age. There is crazing, especially at the outer edges of the inside of the bowl. There is a dark line about 1/4" long, just to the right of the center decal, about even with the old lady's hat, that was caused by some foreign object in the glaze when it was glazed. The decal does show some wear consistent with the age of the item which I date from the late nineteen-teens or early 1920s. The last photo shows a relatively large whitish area that did not get covered in glaze. I believe this plate was dipped rather than brushed as you can also see the drip marks in the glaze as this is the type of translucent glaze that gets darker where it is thicker. Be sure and check the photos carefully as they are an integral part of the description and do a better job of actually showing condition issues than what I can explain through the use of the written word. Be sure to utilize the magnification tool and always feel free to ask questions.

    ondition:
    This dish is in great condition for its age.  There are no chips or cracks, no crazing that I can see.  The main decal is nice and bright with few utensil marks.  The gold-toned trim around the edge of the dish has almost totally worn away.  The makers mark on the back is very faded and hard to read but I believe it may be Weildon Potteries.  I know the state is Ohio.   Be sure and check the photos carefully as they are an integral part of the description and do a better job of actually showing condition issues than what I can explain through the use of the written word.  Be sure to utilize the magnification tool and always feel free to ask questions.

    Shipping:
    I purchase postage online when I package the item.  The tracking number shows when that postage was purchased and does not start when I actually take the item to the post office to be shipped.  Note, I show a 4 business day handling period and although I may get your item packaged and ready to ship on the first or second day, It may take all of those four days for me to get your item to the post office to actually ship it.  Please don't be concerned if you check your tracking number and find out that the item has not yet been shipped if it is within my four-day shipping window.   If you do need your item in a hurry for a birthday or special occasion, just let me know and I will be happy to do my best for you.
