    Description

This is a antique Art Deco, "Excello" 1940's-1950's, child's warming dish, done in the "Boy Blue" edition. It shows a little boy, a cow, and a lamb done in a blue and white checkered pattern, along with red flowers, and green grass. This porcelain dish is divided into three compartments, and the underneath and handles are made of aluminum. Warm water would have been poured into the hole to keep the food warm, and it has it's original cork stopper with a plastic cap. The plate is marked on the bottom: "Excello Trademark U.S. REC 371136". It's definitely in used condition with a scratch to the porcelain and small dents here and there to the aluminum sides and bottom (see the pictures). The warming plate measures 2.25" from the base to the top lip of the plate it measures a little more than 8" across not including the handles. This piece harkens back to a simpler time, and may be a memory for some of you, or an oddity to others, but it is a piece of history.
