    Description

    For sale is a group of six matching pieces of an antique porcelain child's tea set marked Nippon. The hand painted pieces include one each of tea cup, saucer and small plate decorated with pink roses and gold trim.  The approximate measurements are:
    Cup: 2 1/4" wide across top, 2 3/4" including handle, 1" wide base, 1 3/8" high
    Saucer: 3 3/4" wide across top, 2 3/8" wide base, 1/4" high
    Plate: 4 1/4" wide, 2 5/8" wide base, 5/8" high
    These pieces have been gently used with wear commensurate with age including wear to gold trim, a couple tiny fleabites and shelf wear (paint stuck on bottom rims). Marked on the bottom in light blue with text "Hand Painted" over a rising sun and "Nippon." The Nippon text marked Japanese exports from 1891 through 1921. Made in Japan.
