The Goodman GSZ16 Heat Pump is the latest high efficiency 16 SEER Heat Pump from Goodman and provides a mix of performance, efficiency and value unmatched in the industry. The GSZ16 uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R-410A and features the unique Goodman sound control top design for quiet operation. The coil is made of rifled refrigeration-grade copper tubing and corrugated aluminum fins in a design that maximizes surface area. In addition, the unit has an attractive louvered metal guard that protects the coil from damage plus a powder-paint finish that provides premium durability and improved UV protection.

SEER Ratings:
SEER ratings are given by the AHRI to matched systems of HVAC equipment. The SEER of a system is based on the combination of all parts of the system together. In many cases the rating of the complete system will be higher than one individual component (ie the heat pump). For example, a 13 SEER heat pump when matched with a certain air handler will become a 14 SEER complete system. This is very common and not an error in the listing.
