Lot of three -consisting of (2) vintage Nursery Rhyme dinnerware plates and 1 cup for children.
Vintage Enamel Over Tin Child's Plate RED TRIM Mother Goose Rhyme Marked SWEDEN--marked on the back. Approx. 8" wide. Slightly faded Nursery Rhyme, Mother Goose style (
"There was an old Woman lived under a hill, and if she's not gone she lives there still"
) on the front. The back and side trim of the plate are a Cherry Red enamel. Old cutlery marks on the interior of the plate, as expected and there are some chips of the red enamel along the edge, with rust starting in those chips.
Matching china plate and cup, with different Mother Goose rhyme characters. Plate is 7.5" wide, and has Little Jack Horner. Only the slightest of cutlery ware scratches on the surface. Good condition otherwise.
The 3" wide by 2.75" tall cup/drinking mug with handle has Hickory Dickory Dock on the front. The cup looks great until you get close and can see the fracture or crack marks in various places. The photos of the cracks did not show up well in the photos. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THEY EXIST!
CONDITION:
The Tin Plate is marked "Sweden", the other two pieces are NOT marked. NOTE** the cup has many fracture lines, (cracks?) on the outside, and some are visible on the inside. Looks great until you get close to it and see those lines. (I tried to take pictures) The matching plate has a rough area on the bottom lip edge, The decal designs are in good condition. The tin plate has some chips and minor rust at those sites along the edge, along with some faint cutlery marks on the front surface. Otherwise good condition.
