Pellet stoves operate with a complex control system that includes high limit, fan temperature sensors, and safety switches. Also, a vacuum switch is needed to monitor the combustion to avoid Carbon Dioxide CO2 poisoning.
The controls for your stove operate under very harsh conditions: exposure to extreme heat, vibration and power surges with high ampere draw.
Snap disc limit switches become less reliable as time passes and
begin to operate erratically, causing mysterious shut-downs of a pellet stove. I
t is a good practice to
replace those "little trouble-makers"
on your stove, even if it does not always solve the main issue.

We carry now an affordable CERAMIC High-Temperature resistant Limit Switch - custom made for Appliance and Air!
The convection snap disk powers the convection blower ON once the heater becomes warm up to  about 120º F at the exhaust box. The switch will also keep the blower running after a stove shut-down until the temperature drops to below 100ºF.
