issued April 1st, 1939 in honor of the
New York Worlds Fair, the largest ever at that time.
Pictured on the Stamp is the
“
Trylon
”
and
‘
Perisphere
”
two of the most famous
images of the Fair. The Trylon was a 700 foot tall
spire that was connected to the Perisphere,
a sphere with a diameter of 180 feet.
This strip of
4
stamps is sealed in 10 mil laminate.
